 3 Words that Changed Everything

Do you find yourself constantly looking forward to the end of the school day, the weekend, or the next break? Perhaps you are counting down the days until the end of the school year or even retirement! Hilary reveals why this mentality can be harmful. In this inspirational session, teachers are reminded that they have the most important job in the world. Hilary will share three little words that changed everything. Those three words will have a huge impact on your mindset and ultimately your classroom environment. Leave this session feeling energized, inspired, and remembering WHY you LOVE to teach!

Science of Reading 101

Are you overwhelmed when it comes to the Science of Reading? Hilary is in the trenches with you and will share about her classroom experience implementing Science of Reading strategies. You will gather engaging strategies to transform your small group instruction while learning what you are already doing that works! Discover low prep differentiated activities to keep children working independently while you meet with each group of students. Learn how to use supplies you already have on hand to surprise your students and get them excited to work on essential phonics, phonemic awareness, and spelling skills. Return to the classroom with helpful freebies, new activities, and confidence in your ability to rock the Science of Reading!

Simple Science

Ready to experiment, explode, and explore with your students? In this fun hands-on session, you’ll go through the scientific steps to begin an investigation of your own! Return to your classroom with 10 lowprep, high engagement experiments to complete with your kids. Discover ways to teach problem solving and critical thinking skills. Hilary will also share favorite science books, perfect standard pairings, and research tips for your little mad scientists!

Calm the Chaos

Get ready for some ah-ha moments! After this session, you will return to the classroom ready to run centers like a pro! Discover organization tips, strategies to ensure students use the time wisely, and activities to keep students engaged. Gather ideas for building both the fine and gross motor skills of your students. Start your school year with new low-prep games and centers that your students will love!
