After completing IMSE’s Comprehensive Course (30 hours), participants may complete the Verified Structured Literacy Fidelity Course. Teachers will actively participate in online learning to further develop their understanding of IMSE’s Orton-Gillingham methodology. Topics of study will include dyslexia, phonological awareness, phonics, encoding/decoding, irregular words, and assessment. Class activities will include completion of an asynchronous module on each topic. Participants will view videos, read articles, and other text related to each topic. At the end of each module participants will complete a quiz. To demonstrate mastery, participants must score a minimum of 80% correct on each quiz. This is an online asynchronous course that needs to be completed by June 23, 2023. This course is FREE (a $375 value) to the first 40 participants thanks to a scholarship provided by the McKinney Vento Homeless Grant. Once the 40 spots are filled up you are welcome to complete the course but there will be a $375/participant charge.

The registration deadline for this course is January 30th.

Once you complete the course you will need to scan your Certificate of Completion to Angela Reeter - areeter@roe3.org to receive your 15 PD hours. 

* This is a first come first serve basis for scholarships.

* A prerequisite to this course is the IMSE OG 30 hour Comprehensive Course was completed in the last 5 years. 

* This is an asynchronous training in which a quiz must be passed before moving on to the next module.

* There is an entire module on dyslexia.
