In this workshop, teachers will learn strategies for developing fluency with their L2 learners through reading and engaging with whole class novels, using films as literature, and creating opportunities for independent reading. The presenter will share practical templates and resources that will help teachers gain the confidence they need to develop their own novel units, daily lesson plans, engaging classroom activities, and meaningful assessments. Participants will leave this workshop armed with an arsenal of teaching tips and strategies that will alleviate any hesitations about teaching with level-appropriate novels at any level of L2 learning.  This training will be held on October 24, 2023 from 9:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. at the ROE #3 Professional Development Center. Registration will begin at 8:30 a.m. The cost to attend this training is $125/person and lunch will be provided. Each participant will receive 5.0 PD hours upon completion of the training.
