The Area 5 McKinney-Vento Homeless Team invites all secretaries and administrative assistants to join us for a day of games and prizes, training on homelessness, delicious food, and an inspiring keynote by Gerry Brooks. “ Personal Climate and Culture … It’s Up to You” Gerry uses his videos to develop a strategy for making the workplace a pleasant place where faculty, administrators, and support staff all maintain mutual respect, regardless of personal differences, resulting in more efficient and fulfilled workers. Gerry will share policies that he has incorporated that promote a healthy respectful working relationship even when opinions differ. He will also share ideas that maximize opportunities to get to know staff members and create camaraderie, taking advantage of 15 seconds here and there throughout the day. In addition to this keynote training will be provided on the important role secretaries and administrative assistants have in identifying our homeless children and youth.This training will be held at Litchfield CUSD 12 Professional Development Center 1100 Old Rt. 66N Litchfield, IL 62056 on June 5, 2024  from 9:00-2:00 p.m. Registration will begin at 8:30 a.m.  The cost to attend this training is $40/person and lunch will be provided.
